Reminder- Financial Aid Night is TONIGHT- October 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the HSHS Auditorium. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be presenting information regarding basic financial assistance for attending college on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the high school. You don't want to miss this very informative presentation which will include basic information about how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and how financial aid works from federal, state, and private institutions. The 2024-2025 FAFSA is projected to be available in December 2023 for students attending a post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2024. Completing the FAFSA is a graduation requirement.

Henry-Senachwine Freshman Sam Nauman is up for NewsTrib Athlete of the Week Honors for her efforts in swimming. Nauman, a freshman from Henry-Senachwine, broke an L-P co-op record in the 100-yard by swimming a 1:01.6 on Tuesday. She also won the 100 butterfly in that meet. Boys Golf defeated Annawan Wethersfield and Putnam County yesterday afternoon at Midland Golf Club. Carson Rowe was the 1st Place Medalist with a low score of 36. Jacob Miller tied for 2nd Place with a low score of 41. Golf is in action today at the TCC Golf Tournament at Wolf Creek. #GoMallardsHSHS!

Congratulations to Sam Nauman and the LaSalle-Peru/Henry-Senachwine Swim Co-op for their team win at the Girls Swimming Pentathlon Meet at LaSalle-Peru this weekend. Sam Nauman won the individual title with 3,731 points. Great Job Sam. #GoMallardsHSHS

Thank you to the Henry Rotary Club for their generous donation. Through the Rotary Foundation, The Henry Rotary donated grant money to the HSHS Family and Consumer Science Department to purchase kitchen supplies/equipment needed to teach food preparation and nutrition, materials for sewing aprons and baby blankets, and children's books for the units on child development.

Congratulations to Preston Rowe! Preston is the HSHS September Student of the Month. Preston was nominated and selected by the HSHS Faculty/Staff. Preston will be recognized at the September 20th BOE Meeting. Preston is a Senior at HSHS and is the son of Larry and Renee Rowe.
