Daphaney Kessling has been named the Henry-Senachwine High School Student of the Month for February. Daphaney is the daughter of Nick and Donna Kessling. Daphaney was nominated and selected by the HSHS faculty and staff. 

Daphaney is a senior at HSHS and is involved in the school as well as student life. Daphaney has been an Honor Roll student all four years at. She has participated in: Basketball, four years; Track, four years; Welding Club, one year; and Yearbook, four years. 

Outside of school, Daphaney is an active volunteer at the Marshall-Putnam fairgrounds.

After high school, Daphaney plans to do a welding apprenticeship while taking classes to get a degree in Equine Rehab/Massage Therapy

Daphaney will be recognized at the February 21st, Board of Education meeting held at Henry-Senachwine High School. She will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
